A joyful and generous assessment for the Estivales de Lunel, which is set to continue

The event, initiated last year by the WAH real estate agency network and the Arts et Cultures association, grew in size during its second edition on August 30. When it comes to taking stock, organizers and volunteers are more than satisfied.

Les Estivales du cours Gabriel-Péri, whose second edition took place on Friday evening, August 30, is certainly a solidarity initiative born in 2023, but also a great story between volunteers, organizers and partners. Come on, let's say it, a good group of friends too.

A check for 2,000 euros given to Arts et Cultures on Sunday

So they were all smiles at the beginning of the week, when it was time to take stock, obviously good in terms of attendance and profits. It is indeed a four-digit number that will be written on the check given out at the association festival on Sunday, September 8.

2,000 euros that will help finance the events organized by Arts et Cultures, such as the next Luneloween on October 31. Still in the spirit of the policy dear to the association created in 1999: living well together.

More and more support and sponsors

More than a sum, it is a satisfaction displayed and a certain pride – they can afford it – for the four main organizers that are Jonathan Pusceddu, director of the WAH network and president of Arts and Cultures, Tahar Akermi, head of the latter structure, Sylvie Flores and her team from Salsalune as well as Willy Andrian, merchant at the head of several participating establishments on the Cours Péri.

But there were also good figures from the sponsors – "all from Lunelle", as Jonathan Pusceddu was keen to point out – numbering, for this 2024 vintage, fourteen. “Their participation fully financed the costs of the concert and the fees of the animators, continues the head of WAH. This allowed us to generate a nice sum this year again while the operating expenses were much higher than in 2023.”.

2nd edition and already nearly 2,000 participants

Indeed, if that year, there had already been between 500 and 600 who came to flirt, on the Place des Caladons, with the first vintage of the end-of-year animation In the summer, they turned out in almost four times the number (around 2,000) to set foot on the ground of the “new” Péri during the evening of August 30. A feat and a success that only strengthen the desire of the entire Estivales team: to perpetuate the event and identify it as “the” event that puts a festive end to the summer.
