MONTREAL | A man was physically assaulted on Saturday morning on the rue Saint-Jacques in the sector of Ville-Marie, Montreal.
The victim, 21-year-old was seriously injured in the head, said a spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
The young man was transported unconscious to the hospital in a critical condition, added the officer Benedict Boisselle.
The cause of the aggression is not known, as well as the link between the victim and the suspects.
No arrest has been recorded, said the Montreal police.
The rue Saint-Jacques was closed between the rue Saint-Laurent and Place d’armes.
