After three years of absence linked to restrictions due to avian flu, the rooster crowing competition returns this Sunday, April 21 to the great pleasure of breeders who work to conserve ancient breeds of bass animals. -cour.

About fifty competitors

This year for the 24th edition, around fifty roosters will compete in two rounds of 20 minutes, each during which the number of crowings will be counted.

Visitors who wish to set up a small family farm will be able to obtain hatching eggs and day-old chicks. Other farm animals will be present: rabbits, pigeons, sheep, horses. You will also find stands selling crafts and local products: vegetable plants, honey, natural wine, etc. But also something to eat: refreshment bar, crepes and food trucks.

The day's program will take place as follows: at 7:30 a.m., morning singing competition; from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., basketing of rabbits, pigeons and poultry; at 9 a.m., stands open; at 9:30 a.m., late singing competition; at 10 a.m. and throughout the day live birth of chicks; at 11 a.m., demonstration of logging with heavy horses by the Vidourle teams; at 12:30 p.m., meal from food trucks; at 3 p.m., logging with heavy horses; at 4 p.m., release of homing pigeons; at 4:30 p.m., prize ceremony for the rooster crowing competition.
