L'agriculteur de Pujaut est décédé cet été. Il a fait l'objet d'un hommage lundi 23 septembre en début de soirée.
The great family of Gard agriculture met this Monday, September 23rd in the early evening in Nîmes to pay a moving tribute to the former president of the chamber Maurice Jouffret. He died at the age of 88 on August 6th, and was president of the Gard chamber of agriculture from 1995 to 2001.
It was at the Mas de l'Agriculture, south of Nîmes, a building he helped build, that the members of Maurice Jouffret's family (his wife, children and grandchildren) were able to witness the sympathy he inspired. The current president of the chamber Magalie Saumade, but also Dominique Granier, former president, as well as former leaders, were able to salute the former farmer of Pujaut.
Remembering with emotion
The latter, involved in the FDSEA du Gard union, was described as a committed man, “a unionist, a humanist”. Of course, many memories came to mind this Monday early evening when it was necessary to describe the man who loved the Mas des Agriculteurs so much. If the agricultural world can sometimes come together to express its anger, as last winter, it also knows how to come together to remember with emotion.
