A new school year full of new features for the tenth anniversary of the Nuage building in Montpellier

Le bâtiment imaginé par Philippe Starck souffle ses dix bougies dans le quartier de Port-Marianne. À cette occasion, de nouveaux cours et de nouvelles machines font leur apparition dans cet espace dédié au bien-être.
Inaugurated in 2014, the Nuage was designed by designer Philippe Starck in collaboration with architect Stefano Robotti. Its innovative structure exploits the lightness and flexibility of an inflatable skin to create a new architectural landmark in the landscape of the Port-Marianne district.
A 3,000 m2 bubble
Elevated on four levels, on the edge of the water mirror, the building of light and transparency composes, on its different levels, villages made up of micro-architectures that delimit circulation and functions: a 3,000 m2 bubble of equipment and services, dedicated to fitness, health, conviviality and well-being.
The concept has not changed since its creation: with a village square in the center, a health village on the first floor, an aqua village on the second floor and a fitness village on the top two floors. An independent establishment, it has been managed since its opening by the Pigeon family, a Montpellier family that has also managed the 7 club in Aiguelongue since 2008.
The event was first celebrated with open days. They allowed free testing of fitness activities (yoga, RPM body attack, zumba, etc.) as well as the cardio-musculation area.
2nd Fit sports challenge, October 2
On Wednesday, October 2, Le Nuage will offer the second edition of its Fit sports challenge, starting at 9:30 a.m., at Charpak Park. The first edition was a success in June. If we stick to the same concept, new events will be offered, where coaches will no longer participate in the events and will simply supervise them in order to avoid any cheating.
This challenge is the ideal opportunity to live a fitness experience as a team and to surpass yourself in a friendly atmosphere. Registration is free for members and 5 euros for non-members. Places are limited.
A new group body combat class
In addition, this new school year was marked by the return of Les Mills, that is to say the new schedule of group classes. A small novelty this year: a body combat class, combining different martial arts, which is added to the schedule of group classes.
New machines were also installed for this new school year. “This busy news is proof of a permanent questioning of our planning, as well as our equipment in the main interest of our members”, concludes Guillaume, head of the Nuage.
