For 3 years, every September 21, the Béziers city hall pays tribute to Jérémy Beier, who died in a fire in Gabian in 2016. The family and other victims are still waiting for the trial, eight years after the tragedy.

In front of the civil and military authorities, Robert Ménard gave a moving speech, full of humanity to Brigitte Beier, the mother of the firefighter who died from his serious injuries on September 21, 2016. This September 21 is the anniversary of the death of the young corporal (He was seriously burned during the violent fire in Gabian, on August 10, 2016) and to honor his memory, a hundred people, municipal and departmental councilors, but also the deputy of the constituency, Julien Cabarron, had decided to be present.

A promise from Robert Ménard. “I hope that a judgment that you have been waiting for so long will have been made by then”, insisted Robert Ménard. “I know that you have been waiting for it for eight years.
