A policewoman intercepts a scooter man on the 55

This time, it is not a big speeding of a driver on the highway. It is rather an excess of slowness on a fast track.
On am o’clock in the morning, a policewoman from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) highway intercepted an elderly man who was riding a scooter on Highway 55 heading south at Magog.

“Apparently the octogenarian wanted to go to Lennoxville. It was traveling south, along the highway, “says Aurélie Guindon, spokesman for the SQ in Estrie.

“The policewoman escorted the man to the nearest exit to return home to Magog.”

The man received a statement of offense of $ 63, under the Highway Safety Code which states that the driver of a motorized mobility aid can not drive on a restricted access road, adds Ms. Guindon.
