The Montreal Impact will acquire a promising young offensive midfielder, Djordje Mihailovic, in a transaction with the Chicago Fire.
This is what TVA Sports journalist Vincent Destouches reported on Wednesday. In return, the Bleu-blanc-noir would cede a general allowance amount of $ 800,000.
Mihailovic, 22, has scored two goals and served seven assists in 20 games, including 14 starts, in 2020 with the Fire.
Developed by Fire, Mihailovic signed a first contract in January 2017. He has seen action in 73 games over the past four years, totaling seven goals and 15 assists.
The Impact’s technical director, Olivier Renard, is not idle. On Tuesday, he secured the services of Canadian defenseman Kamal Miller after he was selected by Austin FC in the expansion draft.
