Un rassemblement contre l’offensive législative et médiatique anti trans, pour les droits des personnes trans est organisé ce dimanche 5 mai à 14 h devant la Maison Carrée à Nîmes.
Fed up with the anti-trans offensive! This Sunday, May 5, we will meet in Nîmes in front of the Maison Carrée at 2 p.m. to say "no to the anti-trans’legislative and media offensive ;quot;, ensure the Trans Nîmes Solidarity Organization, and the Arène des Fiertés, the organizers of this gathering.
In a press release, they explain: " In France, LR, RN, Reconquête, major media and publishing houses target the trans community. Reactionaries seek to establish in public debate the idea that trans people are a danger to children, to society and to themselves."
The right to transition for all
For the collective, more than ever, "there is an urgent need to propose a united response from the feminist and LGBTI+ social movement. Last year the Les Républicains party launched a senatorial investigation group. […] This investigative group produced a bill tabled in the Senate proposing to prohibit medical and social transition for minors, to strengthen psychiatric control over trans children and to punish with prison sentences of up to two years, doctors who support young trans people, […] before the ban on transition for adults under 25 years old."< /em>
So many reasons which push the demonstrators to demand: "A depsychiatrized transition, free and free for adults and minors, access to PMA for all people trans: stopping mutilation of intersex children: massive resources for public services to ensure real access to abortion, transitions and contraception, education on gender and sexuality issues supported by education and health workers.
While movements will be organized this Sunday, May 5 throughout France, the OST Nîmes and the Arène des Fiertés are calling to gather in Nîmes at 2 p.m. , in front of the Maison Carrée.
