A score of disinfectants for the hands were withdrawn from the market in Canada since the beginning of the month of June, because they could dry the skin and cause irritation and cracking.
This is what is stated by Health Canada, which has just updated its recall list of disinfectants. The most recent three products are some of the lots of brands of Hand Sanitizer Alco-San, Healthcare Plus Sanitizing Hand Gel, and Vima-San.
All are manufactured ethanol-based industrial grade that contains impurities and chemicals including the use of disinfectants for the hands is not allowed.
The list of reminders is constantly changing, Health Canada advises consumers to check regularly the list of recalls online and check the relevant lots.
