The fire broke out on Tuesday, August 6, around 4 p.m., in the town of Milhaud.

The firefighters were called this Tuesday, August 6, around 4 p.m., for a scrubland fire that had broken out on the edge of the A9 motorway, near the town of Milhaud.

Homes protected by the firefighters

Thanks to rapid and precise action, the fire that spread rapidly, driven by a southerly wind, was able to be contained at 2 hectares by the end of the afternoon and the homes were protected by the firefighters. No injuries were reported.

A second fire in a few days

The firefighters were still in the area at the end of the afternoon to finish putting out the fire. Already, this Sunday, August 4, in the same town of Milhaud, the Gard firefighters had to fight for four hours to put out a stubble and brush fire that had started in an area near a supermarket and the RN 113.
