A pedestrian aged over 70 years suffered significant injuries after being snapped up as she crossed the street to Rimouski in the late afternoon, Sunday.
The incident occurred at the intersection of the rue de Normandie and the avenue Sirois, to 16h45. The lady, who then tried to cross the street was struck by a car that wanted to turn left.
According to the Sûreté du Québec, the pedestrian has complied with its signaling at the time of crossing the street. This would therefore be the motorist who would be in the wrong, in all likelihood.
She would have suffered “serious injury”, but would not place his life in danger. The collision did not make any other victim.
