A strange plane with a miniature wing spotted at Toulouse airport, what is special about this Boeing 757 ?

A Boeing 757 was spotted at Toulouse airport last week, with the particularity of being equipped with a sort of miniature wing on the right front of the aircraft.

Images from aviation enthusiasts are circulating on X, showing an unusual aircraft at Toulouse airport. A plane with a third miniature wing on the right side indeed attracts attention.

This is a Boeing 757 “belonging to the American engine manufacturer Honeywell Aerospace. This plane serves as a test strip to test new engines and see how they react", detailed to our colleagues at News Clément Alloing, photographer specializing in aeronautics.

This machine is not new, it even celebrated its 40th anniversary in June 2022, as explained in a press release from the Honeywell group. In it, the engine manufacturer also mentions the particularity of the device.

A test system
