The offer of events presented in drive-in theaters continues to expand : a new theatre ciné-parc will open its doors on 21 June on the island of Montreal, at the corner of Décarie boulevard and highway 40.
Baptized in Theatre Ciné-Parc Royalmount, this outdoor site designed by companies C3 Events and Total Events will be able to host film screenings, live music and humour, and even of church services and corporate events. The space will receive 250 cars at each event.
“Many projects in the drive-ins have been announced recently but I think that ours is very different from the others, stressed on Thursday the co-creator of the Cine-Parc Royalmount, Adam Bultz.
“This will not be just a screen and speakers. We will be able to host any kind of entertainment. Also, since we announced our project, we received a lot of calls from producers of cultural events but also schools and companies that were interested in our key service in the hands. Our site offers a lot of opportunities.”
As in other drive-ins, viewers will be able to meet the detachment physics in following the event in the comfort of their car or even outside, keeping two meters distance with the passengers of the other cars. A service car will be available and individual toilet with sink will be installed on-site and cleaned after each use.
The theatre Ciné-Parc Royalmount will be built on a parking lot located at two steps of the real estate project Royalmount, at the corner of Décarie boulevard and highway 40 . The first events that take place there are expected to be announced in the coming days.
