A third tornado in two days was formed at Quebec, Tuesday, this time on the side of Armagh, in the region of Bellechasse.
Environment Canada indicated Wednesday that the vortex was formed in the early evening as violent thunderstorms crossed the region.
“According to the preliminary investigation, no damage has been reported”, however, specified the federal agency.
Meteorologists are based primarily on the damage caused by the tornadoes to assess their intensity, which ranges from a scale of EF0 to EF5. In this case, if no damages to assess, the experts of Environment Canada can’t perform a classification of the intensity of this tornado.
This is the seventh tornado confirmed of the season this year in Quebec. The other two have made landfall on Monday in Saint-Roch-de-Mékinac, in Mauricie, as well as in the parish of Saint-Mathias-de-Bonneterre, Saint-Isidore-de-Clifton in the eastern Townships. The latter has caused significant damage, damaging, in particular a score of residences.
