A tornado has swept Manawan Thursday night

OTTAWA, A tornado swept through Thursday night as a part of the territory of the atikamekw community of Manawan, in the Lanaudière region.

According to Environment Canada, it has been observed at around 18: 30.

The government agency indicated that it was a tornado category EF0 with winds estimated of 105 to 137 km/h. This is the third tornado confirmed this season in Quebec.

In the same weather report, Environment Canada has indicated that several thunderstorms and downpours have affected Thursday various regions of Québec, by reason of the passage of a low pressure system.

“The air is wet and warm, which accompanies this system brought significant amounts of rain on some cities”, a-t was specified.
