Abraham Toro demoted to minor league baseball

Quebecer Abraham Toro was demoted to the AAA level, at the Tacoma Rainiers, by the Seattle Mariners.

The major league baseball club made him the announcement Saturday, after the first game of a doubleheader against the Los Angeles Angels. The Mariners also removed the name of outfielder Mitch Haniger from the 60-day disabled list.

In 84 major league games this year, Toro hit 47 hits, including eight homers , and maintained a .180 batting average. He also drove in 26 points and touched the plate 30 times. The Longueillois also played two games with the Everett AquaSox, in A+, in 2022.

This is Toro's second season in the Mariners organization, he who started his Major League Baseball career with the Houston Astros in 2019.
