The 91-326 candidates who have expressed interest in the accelerated training of three months for Quebec to become a servant to the beneficiaries in NURSING homes must now complete an application for admission, a formal second step in a long process that will lead to a promise of employment.
The ministry of Education has made it known on Sunday that the candidates have received over the weekend an e-mail informing them that they have until June 8 to fill in their request, indicating which of the 52 vocational centers where will be the training best suited to their needs.
This first step will allow Quebec to prune a first portion of the large number of registrations since the program objective is to only train 10 000 orderlies.
At the end of this second phase of admission, candidates not fulfilling the criteria of selection of Quebec will be informed of the decision of the government. For others, they will be invited to provide their curriculum vitae and a motivation letter to 350 words.
The aid of service in the employ of the establishment of a network of health and social services will not have access to this first accelerated training program, but may register during a second period, which would begin in mid-September, 2020.
The candidates will be expected to commit to working full-time for at least a year, under penalty of having to repay their scholarship.
Once the three months of training completed, graduates will be offered an officer position in NURSING at the hourly rate of $ 26 for full-time employees.
