Chacun à son rythme autour du stade.

Ils ont fait des tours de stade, parrainés par des entreprises locales ce mardi 7 mai.

It was under a hesitant sun that the students of the Joseph-Vallot high school, in Lodève, met on Tuesday May 7 at the Beaumont stadium to participate in the race against hunger. The 1st year MCVA (commerce) class, at the origin of the project, was supervised by the four teachers within the framework of projects that the students must create in 1st and 12th grade. They will be graded on the work completed during three semesters, followed by an individual oral examination presented for the bac.

More than 300 participants

Each student had a specific role, managing the refreshment stands, taking care of the organization of the race, setting up a wardrobe clearance, motivating students from other classes in the search for sponsors… Like Mathias, student of 1st business and president of the CVL (high school life council), who validated the tricks carried out by his comrades. Each participant has a solidarity booklet in which the number of stadium tours completed and sponsorships obtained through local businesses are noted. More than 300 students mobilized, some in their free time, like Kawthar and Madina.

"55 establishments are participating in this action in Occitanie. The NGO Action Against Hunger tries to be present at each event, indicates Caroline Parguel, its manager, in charge of the youth project for the Occitanie region."This year, Bangladesh will receive aid to combat food insecurity linked to climate change. In 2050, part of the territory will disappear under water.

Carine Raimbault, professor of literature, is at the origin of this project: "The first professional class spent the year preparing for this day at a rate of 1 to 2 hours per week." She worked with Benoît Caron, business teacher, Mélissa Bonnin, math teacher, and Mathilde Guillemard with the approval of Benjamin Arino Principal. "Around ten teachers mobilized to support the students". And the participants of the day were happy to be there. "Everyone can participate without a lot of means or great physical abilities. I think it's great!", declares Noemy who did 11 laps. "What Action Against Hunger does touches me", adds Nina, AESH, who did 31 that day.< /p> I subscribe to read more
