Adrenaline on the menu at Zest!

The second edition of ZEST takes place on June 1st at the Alain Delylle sports complex and promises a three-part day full of action and discovery!

After the success of the first edition of the ZEST (Temporary Sports Event Zone) at the Croix d’Argent last year, the town hall’s deputy for sport, Hervé Martin, reiterated the project. With his teams, he prepared a major day on June 1 to highlight the entire Montpellier sporting world. On the program: 3 well-distributed halves. The first (from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.) is intended to be innovative, Hervé Martin wishes to "intellectualize sport" in particular by offering a conference-debate on the current issues surrounding sports clubs. "Sport sometimes suffers a certain class contempt, yet it’s culture and what's more it’s good for your health !" exclaimed the former rugby player. He wants to break the codes and start with a moment of reflection before engaging in different activities!

A very complete program

The 2nd half (from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) remains more classic but just as important since during its course, 51 sports associations and 14 professional clubs like the MHSC will be present. Various sporting events are organized and an "explorer card" will also be set up, allowing children and teenagers to move from workshop to workshop to better discover sporting pluralism and receive some gifts.

Musical evening and trophy presentation

To finish, the 3rd half (from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.) will offer a late afternoon full of fun ;ambience, with different orchestras which will follow one another. The evening begins with the presentation of the ZEST trophies, created to reward sports associations in three categories: fair play, inclusion and performance, and will end with the performance of DJ Aurélien Walker, already present during the passing of the flame in Montpellier. A moment which, like sport, aims to emit beautiful values ​​and create social bonds. The Alain Delylle sports complex is located in the heart of the Cévennes district at 1160 rue de las Sorbes. The day takes place from 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. and flyers will be distributed in the Cévennes district ahead of the event.
