La friperie solidaire soutenue par l’Agglo est ouverte trois jours par semaine, rue de l’Égalité, dans les anciens locaux de la CPAM. Les dons de vêtements sont les bienvenus.

What was the premises of the Primary Health Insurance Fund, rue de l’Égalité, gave way last July to the solidarity thrift store called “Au Petit Happiness”, which the &rsquo ;previously found in rue Hoche.

A new space, larger and more functional, which delights the fifteen beneficiaries of an integration project supported by the Hérault-Mediterranean agglomeration community and supervised by the League of teaching. Workers hired part-time on fixed-term integration contracts, who follow qualifying training to help them find their way back to employment.

Clothes that have a bright future ahead of them

Here, we collect clothes that people no longer want, to give them a second life. "They are sorted, washed and ironed before being put on sale" , explains Virginie Level, supervisor of this project.

At the back of the store, little hands are busy restoring shine to clothes that clearly still have a few years left in them. Children, women, men… you can find everything in the store, at unbeatable prices. "All this week, children's clothes are 50 euro cents, one euro for adult sizes&quot ;, promotes Virginie Michel, professional integration advisor at the Teaching League. Enough to make room on the shelves, especially since we don't only find textiles in the thrift store. "We sometimes have strollers, Maxi -Cosi, toys", adds Caroline Clerc, from the employment and training department of the Agglo.
Teamwork for a clientele delighted to unearth nuggets from time to time."We are launching a call for donations to the people of Agath who can come and drop off the clothes they wish to part with& ;quot;, adds Virginie Level, in view of the beautiful season.

The store is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. non-stop.
