Aggravated pimping of minors: two brothers brought before the courts in Montpellier and placed in pre-trial detention

Arrested by the police on April 29, the two defendants were presented before the criminal court on Friday, May 3. Requesting a long period of time to prepare their defense, they were imprisoned pending their trial on July 12.

A case of aggravated pimping was presented, Friday, May 3, before the Montpellier criminal court. The defendants, two brothers aged 22 and 27, must answer for acts committed against minors (one turned 18 last month), vulnerable, in a meeting and with violence.

The two young men asked for a long time to be judged. As requested by the prosecutor, they were imprisoned pending the hearing set for July 12, in order to avoid the repetition of the facts and any pressure on the victims. They face ten years in prison.

Both known to the courts

The oldest man's criminal record contains around ten entries, for fraud, theft, receiving stolen property and cases related to drugs. The youngest is also known to the courts.

On April 29, a young underage woman alerted the police, who intervened in Montpellier as part of an investigation into flagrante delicacy in a place of prostitution. Another young girl, who had been transported from Orléans to Montpellier, was in a car.
