Agricultural Show: Lozérien Titouan Valles wins the competition for young butchers

L'élève en CAP boucherie au CFA de Mende se prépare maintenant pour les finales régionales du concours Meilleur apprenti de France.

Champion! Titouan Valles won the competition for young butchers in the livestock and meat sector at the International Agricultural Show. This Thursday, February 29, 2024, the CAP butchery student at CFA Henry-Giral de Mende and apprentice at the Goeury-Lebre butchery, in Saint-Alban-sur-Limagnole, proved himself before a demanding jury, as well as only under the gaze of one of the best workers in France and numerous visitors. One of the highlights of the 'Love Meat, Eat Better' space.

The support of his apprenticeship masters

The young Lozerian therefore registers a first line in his butcher's list. He now hopes to excel in the regional finals of the Meilleur apprentice de France competition. These will take place in Montauban (Tarn-et-Garonne), on Monday March 11. Titouan Valles is already announcing the color. "I'm aiming for the final", he recently declared to Midi Libre Lozère

To prepare for the regional MAF, he will be able to count on his mentors Charlotte Lebre and Anthony Goeury. The advice of the latter, who reached the national finals of the competition in 2014, will be most valuable. 

After his CAP butchery, the Lozérien, truly passionate about jobs in the meat industry, wishes to continue his studies. He is considering a CAP as a charcutier-caterer, then a professional butchery certificate.
