L'Académie Cévenole tenait, ce samedi 27 janvier après-midi, son assemblée générale avec, suivant la tradition, une communication académique au programme.

Thanks to its annual general meeting, the members of the Académie Cévenole met this Saturday in the lounge of their head office, at the cultural center of Rochebelle, in Alès. This assembly was also the opportunity to hear a communication from their colleague Annie Corbier who dealt with "The evolution of the recruitment of engineering students (Girls!) at the École des Mines d’ ;rsquo;Alès". She followed the journey of three pioneering women of the École des Mines, which became IMT Mines-Alès, retracing through specific examples, anecdotes and exchanges their journey, where, in 1971, the word student des Mines has found its feminine.

This internal communication saw, among other guests, the presence of Assia Tria who is the first female director of IMTMines-Alès. An opportunity for the latter to provide her testimony on male-female relations within the institution.
