L’aîné de la fratrie Lebrun s’est incliné lors de son entrée en lice, ce lundi 30 septembre, face au Brésilien qui l’avait éliminé lors des Jeux Olympiques.
Alexis Lebrun lost his first match in the China Grand Smash on Monday in Beijing, once again beaten by Brazilian Hugo Calderano, world number 3, who had ruined his dream of an individual medal at the Paris Games.

For his return after the Olympics, the eldest of the Lebrun brothers (21 years old, world number 19), who lost 3 sets to 0 (11-7, 11-9, 13-11), had two set points in the final set but Calderano saved them to finally close the debate.
Félix still in the running
The 28-year-old Brazilian had made Alexis Lebrun suffer (4-1) during the round of 16 of the Olympic tournament in Paris. He then made it to the semi-finals and lost the match for third place against Alexis Lebrun's brother, Felix.
Felix Lebrun (18 years old, 5th in the world) made it through the first round of the tournament held in Beijing on Sunday, one of the most prestigious on the WTT circuit, the equivalent of a Grand Slam tournament in tennis.
