Referred to turn by an allegation of sexual assault on social networks, the singer Éric Lapointe “categorically denies the acts which are complained of on page Facebook Hyenas in petticoats”.
As had been the case Wednesday, his former manager and current leader of the Bloc Québécois, Yves-François Blanchet, also accused on the same page of an assault, the singer invited “the people who have experienced abuse to file a complaint with the police” in a message published on his page Facebook on Thursday morning.
The denunciation appeared online late Wednesday night, and it comes from a woman who is said to have suffered the onslaught of the singer during the filming of a video clip in which she had been hired as an extra, there are a dozen of years.
Éric Lapointe, who is currently facing criminal charges of assault in connection with an episode of alleged domestic violence, has indicated that he will make no further comment.
Eric Lapointe had abandoned his chair of coach to the show The Voice, along with his nominations at the ADISQ Gala, when it had been put in charge, in the month of October 2019.
