The Toronto Argonauts gave French kicker Boris Bédé a new contract on Thursday.
Details of the deal were not disclosed by the Ontario organization. The one who has so far played his entire career with the Montreal Alouettes was sent to the “Argos” in return for Tyler Crapigna last February.
In 2019, during the last campaign of the Canadian Football League (CFL), Bédé succeeded 31 of his 35 field goal attempts.
However, it is with the power of his leg that Bédé stands out. He ranks first in league history in yardage per kickoff average, at 69.3 yards. He is ahead of his closest pursuer by more than three yards.
