Already in trouble for Josh Gordon

Recently found fit to return to competition after a suspension for use of prohibited substances, wide receiver Josh Gordon has relapsed and will not be able to play or train with the Seattle Seahawks.

The NFL Network reported the news Tuesday night. Gordon will, however, be able to attend team meetings and will be able to practice on his own.

The Washington state team had offered Gordon a one-year contract in September and promoted him to the main roster on Monday. On Tuesday, however, the 29-year-old returned to the list of unavailable players.

This is far from the first time Gordon has been caught for illegal substance use and performance drug use. After a strong NFL debut with the Cleveland Browns, the former Pro Bowl participant was suspended for two full seasons, in 2015 and 2016.

Gordon started the 2019 season with the New England Patriots before being claimed on waivers by the Seahawks. He has scored only one touchdown in 11 games during this campaign.
