The Uruguayan internationals Sebastian Sosa, 37 years old (1 selection) and Paraguayan José Florentin, 27 years old (3 selections), and the Argentinians Braian Cufré, 27 years old, and Abiel Osorio, 21 years old, sidelined by the Buenos Aires club as soon as the affair was revealed in early March, were arrested while waiting for a judge to rule on their provisional detention for the duration of the # 39;investigation of the case.
"She started to feel unwell, very dizzy"
The complainant, a 24-year-old sports journalist, said she was attacked on March 3 in a hotel room in Tucuman (north), where she had been invited by Sebastian Sosa who was staying in establishment with the other three players. "After having a few drinks, she started to feel bad, very dizzy, so she lay down on one of the beds like she was numb, and it's ;it was then that, without any consent, she was sexually assaulted", it is written in the complaint.
According to his lawyer, Me Patricia Neme, justice has "sufficient elements" to justify placement in pre-trial detention, the accused having, according to her, "sufficient economic means" to flee the country.
Players suspended
She added in an interview broadcast on television that the hearing of more than three hours by the Tucuman prosecutor had been trying for her client: & quot;At times she broke down because she had to remember the entire sequence of events she had experienced.. The lawyer mentioned an aberrant "gang-bang".
The Velez Sarsfield club announced Monday in a press release the suspension of the contracts of the four players and "reiterates its greatest concern about the reported facts which are clearly contrary to the principles and values of our institution".
According to the newspaper Clarin, the results of toxicological analyzes to determine whether the victim was drugged should not be known for around twenty days.
