The parking lot smashed to dissuade people from traveling

A mobile practice against medical deserts

#LOZERE. Mobisanté 48, a real mobile medical office, is a brand new system supported by the Lozère Avenir Santé association and financed in full by the Regional Health Agency to the tune of €180,000. Doctor Daniel Durand, retired, returned to service for the occasion. The medical truck will serve four communities lacking a general practitioner. Doctor Durand does not expect miracles, just "to help out".

" The bus is a palliative. We see the person for an emergency and there is no follow-up. But it’s better than nothing." He recalls the critical situation in which Lozère finds itself: "Even in the city, it’ It is very complicated, if not impossible, to find a doctor when there is one. They are no longer taking new patients." To launch Mobisanté 48, Lozère Santé Avenir surveyed 26 retired general practitioners. Three responded favorably.

#SETE. The Carinthia VII, a mega yacht 98 m long (the size of a football field) and 16 m wide, arrived this Sunday in the port of Sète from the east coast of the United States. The ship, delivered in 2002, offers its dozen passengers a gym, a 12-meter swimming pool, sauna, hammam and steam shower, but also garages for annexes and… helipad! It had already stopped at Sète in 2023 for six weeks of repairs.
