A study launched by Dr. Marco Mafrici could allow people suffering from reduced visual acuity through the use of augmented reality. These patients can already participate in the experiment.
Doctor Marco Mafrici, an ophthalmologist at the Alès-Cévennes hospital center (Chac), has just launched a study dedicated to patients with reduced visual acuity due to diabetes, age-related macular degeneration (AMD) or any other maculopathy. The aim of this study is to improve patients' visual acuity using cutting-edge technology using augmented reality.
Patients invited to participate in the study
This research aims to establish the scientific foundations for developing this technology for medical purposes, with the hope of ultimately enabling this device to be managed, thereby significantly improving the quality of life of people with these conditions.
People who have already been diagnosed with low vision are invited to contact the department to make an appointment and participate in this study.
