MONTREAL | An octogenarian has been arrested by the Montreal police, early Sunday morning, after a man in his thirties was stabbed in the borough of Saint-Léonard in Montreal.
According to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), an altercation between the two warring parties would have erupted near a building of the boulevard Roberts, near the Viau boulevard, shortly before 7 a.m.
“During the altercation, the suspect would have inflicted injuries to the victim. Following the altercation, the victim fled the scene and sought refuge in a business”, said Véronique Comtois, spokesperson for the SPVM, stating that the suspect allegedly hit his victim with a “sharp object”.
The victim was transferred to a hospital, where an assessment of the severity of his injury was in the course in the morning.
The SPVM has opened an investigation to try to learn a little more about the circumstances surrounding this event. A dog has also been called on the spot.
