“An unspeakable act” denounced by Gérald Darmanin after the attack on a Jewish sixty-year-old leaving a synagogue in Paris

A sixty-year-old man was insulted and beaten on the evening of Friday March 1 as he was leaving a synagogue in the 20th arrondissement of the capital. A new "anti-Semitic act" denounced by the Minister of the Interior who asked the prefects to strengthen surveillance of places frequented by the Jewish community.
A man aged around sixty was the victim of an anti-Semitic attack this Friday March 1 at the end of the day. He was leaving a synagogue in the 20th arrondissement when he was insulted as a "dirty Jew" then punched and kicked by a man who fled on foot, according to police sources cited by RTL.
The victim was transported to the Croix Saint-Simon hospital for treatment while his attacker is still being sought.
Heightened security in places frequented by Jews
While the investigation is being carried out by the 20th arrondissement police station, Gérald Darmanin assures X that "Everything is being done to find the author of this unspeakable act".
"Moreover, on my instructions, the prefects have been reinforcing since yesterday (Friday, Editor's note) monitoring places frequented by our Jewish compatriots who must not be victims of the tragedies taking place in the Middle East", insists the Minister of #39;Interior.

According to Le Figaro, Gérald Darmanin also called for a "systematic presence of forces of internal security around schools during the entry and exit of students", at places of worship "during the hours of & rsquo;arrival and departure of the faithful" and called on the prefects to mobilize the intelligence services to assess threats to public order< /em> and to pay «particular attention to possible future demonstrations".
This new anti-Semitic aggression comes the day after a distribution of humanitarian aid in Gaza which turned into drama after Israeli shooting and a stampede which caused 115 dead, according to the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas.
