Anger of farmers: dozens of hooded men set fire in front of a Lidl depot in Gard

Une action musclée a été organisée ce lundi 29 janvier à Beaucaire, provoquant des tensions sur le site.

They left Nîmes on their tractors. A convoy of around twenty machines set off, late in the afternoon this Monday, January 29, towards Beaucaire in the Gard.

After collecting rubbish in a recycling center near the Beaucaire road, these farmers headed towards the Lidl logistics platform. On site, dozens of hooded men set fire to this load. 

"You got the wrong targets!"

An altercation then broke out between unhooded farmers and those responsible for the disaster: the former presenting themselves as farmers working with the German brand and indicating that the latter particularly valued local products, always favoring the latter rather than importing. "You have hit the wrong target!" they shouted towards the group of hooded men.

No additional collisions  however, was not to be reported and the convoy left Beaucaire just as the fire was finishing burning.
