“Anger of the farmers”: the large Angles roundabout blocked by around sixty farmers in tractors

This Saturday, January 27, 2024, farmers dumped tires, pallets and plastics on the roadway of the large Angles roundabout. This peasant collective thus intended to express its dissatisfaction after the announcement by Prime Minister Gabriel Attal of the measures which were supposed to allow a way out of the crisis.

The big one Leclerc roundabout in Les Angles was blocked this Saturday, January 27, 2024 by around sixty angry farmers who arrived with a  twenty tractors. They dumped tires, pallets and plastics on the road.

This peasant collective thus intended to express its dissatisfaction after the announcement by Prime Minister Gabriel Attal of measures which were nevertheless supposed to allow a way out of the crisis. "We want to show that we are still thereat, we are not like  certain colleagues who had to be bribed to leave the dams said these Gard peasants.

The participants in the blocking of the Angles roundabout are wine growers, arborists, cereal growers and  market gardeners "in short, there's a little bit of everything" indicates Fabien Perchois, vine farmer in Roquemaure. These farmers are aware that the battle they are waging is also that of opinion. "The farmers are with the French population" he insists accordingly.

Major distribution

The operation launched this Saturday, January 27, 2024 was to  ending in the evening, at nightfall. However, no action is planned for this Sunday by the Collective. "We need to rest our teams who are starting to get tired. This will allow us to reattack better next week."  As of this Monday, January 29, 2024, the Collective plans to initiate other actions.
