Anger of winegrowers: Martial Bories awaits the opening of discussions with large-scale distribution and trading

Après la journée de forte mobilisation de ce vendredi 26 janvier, le vigneron et président de la cave L'Occitane, à Servian, évoque la suite du mouvement de protestation du monde agricole.

Martial Bories, winemaker and president of the L’Occitane cellar, in Servian, does not think that there will necessarily be a continuation of the movement; in the coming days, in the region, even if he emphasizes that it is the Young Farmers and the FNSEA who are at the helm – certain departmental federations of the peasant union have, in fact, called for a toughening of the movement. 

"Action for the sake of action would not necessarily be productive. What we want now is a meeting with trading and mass distribution, under the leadership of the prefect. Let's stop this lying poker game where the two pass the buck to say that it's the other's fault if the income that we have keys are ridiculously low.

The Minister of Agriculture visits on February 2

The winegrower believes that we must "put our cards on the table to know what measures must be taken to save our profession". Furthermore, the Minister of Agriculture, Marc Fesneau, is expected to travel to the region on Friday, February 2.
