The Verkhovna Rada registered a government draft law No. 9046 “On amendments to article 23 of the law of Ukraine “On mobilization preparation and mobilization” exemption from conscription for military service during mobilization of Ukrainian citizens working in international organizations”, according to the website of the Parliament.
The initiator of this legislative initiative was made by Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman.
“From the beginning of the antiterrorist operation in the East of Ukraine raised the question of the obligations for release of the Ukrainian citizens working in international organizations which member is Ukraine, and their representations on the territory of Ukraine from military duty during their employment relationship with these organizations”, — stated in the explanatory Memorandum.
The developers of the document suggest to Supplement article 23 of the law “On mobilization preparation and mobilization” provision on which the call for military service during mobilization will not be subject to those citizens of Ukraine who work under the state quota in international organizations.
