OTTAWA | other disinfectants for the hands that pose risks to health have been pinned on Monday by Health Canada.
The three products are the Ascencia hand Sanitizer, Protectenol Hand Sanitizer and Sanify Hand Sanitizer.
These products contain ethanol of technical quality, which is not appropriate for this use.
Since Ottawa has authorized sources of ethanol other than those of pharmaceutical grade and food, the recalls of disinfectant products containing it have been many. This permission to use other types of ethanol has been granted by the federal government in April due to the pandemic of COVID-19, which resulted in a global shortage of ethanol of a pharmaceutical grade and food.
