Apple is preparing to launch a paid news service subscription, created on the basis of the existing Apple News.
The American company has already faced the negative reaction of the publishers in connection with the terms of service, writes the online edition of the Chronicle.info with reference for a New time.
Sources claim that such publishers as the New York Times and the Washington Post, does not agree with the conditions, under which Apple will receive “about half” of the income from the service, and the rest will be divided among the publishers, depending on the amount of time that people spend reading articles.
According to sources, Apple also wants to “at least some” publishers gave the news for at least one year. Media representatives were divided on this issue – some want longer commitments, while others want to have a chance to retreat early.
The cost of the new service is not established, but estimated will cost the same $10 a month that you and Apple Music. BuzzFeed’s sources say that Apple is planning to hold a special event on March 25, which will be dedicated to subscribe to news services that will give the company less than two months to find a common language by the authors of the news.
As reported by trade publications, the event will focus on service business with Apple, so it is unlikely that the company will show “iron” novelties like the iPad mini, AirPods or AirPower.
