An encouraging assessment and some regrets
With three titles and three podiums, the results are encouraging. The Gardois may, however, have some regrets. With a little more success, they could have expanded their record, having failed four times at the foot of the podium.
572 points in qualification for Luzet Choteau
In U15 women's recurve archery, Nîmes hopeful Estelle Luzet Choteau dominated the competition. First in the qualifications with a national level score (572 points), she continued her momentum during the duels. Given her current form, she will be one of the favorites during the French championships in Grenoble at the end of the month.
In recurve women's U18, Océane Joussein (Manduel) took the lead in qualifying thanks to a good second series. She maintained a high level of performance in the matches which allowed her to win the title. A promising result for the Manduelloise, also selected for the French championship.
Among the U11 boys, a 100% Gard podium
The next generation seems assured since Gard achieved the hat-trick in U11 men's recurve bow. Manduellois Lucas Choplain Gines also had a perfect competition. Leader of the qualifications, he confirmed during the matches and won the title.
Timéo Ibanez (Nîmes) and Théo Herbette (Saint-Geniès-de-Malgoirès) took second and third places respectively in this same category.
Vincent Besora 3rd in U18
The last Gard podium is to the credit of Vincent Besora (Archers Petite Camargue) who took third place in U18 men's recurve bow.
