MONTREAL – A man in his fifties was transported Saturday morning to a hospital after being injured by a sharp object at the center of the city of Montreal.
It was around 7: 55 that the emergency services have been notified of this assault occurred near the streets Sainte-Catherine and Saint-Hubert, in the borough of Ville-Marie.
When agents of the Montreal police arrived on the scene, they discovered a 55-year-old wounded in the upper body by a sharp object, said Véronique Comtois of the police Department of the City of Montreal, stating that the reasons were not known.
According to the first elements of the investigation, an altercation took place between two people.
The victim was transported to the hospital, but the authorities do not fear for his life.
A dog handler and investigators were deployed to the scene to try to determine the causes and circumstances of the event.
