Around sixty demonstrators at Place Mallet in Bagnols "against Macron's coup": "we must remain mobilized!"

The three local representatives of the New Popular Front parties: Elian Cellier (PC) Vincent Poutier (PS), Serge Moulas (LFI) Saturday September 7th at Place Mallet. C.B.

On Saturday September 7th, around sixty demonstrators gathered at Place Mallet in Bagnols-sur-Cèze to demand the nomination of Lucie Castets, the candidate of the New Popular Front, to Matignon.

Despite the appointment of Michel Barnier (LR) as Prime Minister, “we must remain mobilized! Nothing is lost” declared on Saturday 7 September the secretary of the local branch of the PC, Elian Cellier, in front of the town hall of Bagnols-sur-Cèze, where around sixty demonstrators gathered, as part of the national mobilization organized “against the coup by Emmanuel Macron“.

Each in turn, the local leaders of the NFP (New Popular Front) parties, Elian Cellier (PC), Vincent Poutier (PS) and Serge Moulas (LFI) took the floor to recall that the application of the left-wing coalition program was still the objective and to demand the nomination of Lucie Castets (NFP candidate) to Matignon. “Cohabitation has already existed” underlined Elian Cellier.

“What will count is mobilization”

“I ask you not to give up! ” also claimed the Insoumis Serge Moulas who called on citizens to “sign the national petition” launched by LFI for the dismissal of Emmanuel Macron and the appointment of Lucie Castets as Prime Minister.  “What will count is the mobilization".

And in Bagnols, the representatives of the left are counting on the same enthusiasm as during the demonstrations against the pension reform. “We had between 5,000 and 7,000 people” recalls Elian Cellier. Socialist Vincent Poutier, for his part, is already looking towards the next elections: “local issues are important”. Moreover, the NFP is organizing “a time to get together” after the campaign for the last legislative elections, on September 21 at 6 p.m. at the Cantarelle hall in Roquemaure. “We will continue the momentum created”.
