It was a call for projects that allowed young people from Sète to travel to the Paralympic Games this weekend.

A first group of young people from Sète spent the day at the Paralympic Games in Paris this Friday, August 30. And another will take off this Sunday, heading for the City of Lights. In total, around sixty young people from the Sète Police Leisure Centre (CLJ) were treated to an exceptional day to watch the Paralympic competitions: taekwondo and swimming on Friday for some.

Sète, the only project in Hérault

They were able to watch the fights of Frenchwoman Djelika Diallo (silver medal) and the races of French para-swimmers Hector Denayer and Alex Portal, silver and bronze medallists.

This Sunday, another group will have the chance to experience the volleyball matches in real life at l’Arena Paris Nord.

The project was made possible thanks to a call for projects launched by the State to allow young people to access this exceptional international event. The CLJ is the only one selected in Hérault. The City of Sète took care of transport for the day.
