Arrested for bringing a raccoon into a bar

A woman was arrested a few days ago for allegedly bringing an “undomesticated raccoon” into a bar in North Dakota. She faces criminal charges, according to True Crime Daily.

Erin Christensen, who kept the animal at her home, reportedly brought the beast to a local bar. Authorities are reportedly concerned about possible exposure to rabies.

The raccoon, named Rocky, was bitten and seized to be tested for illnesses, including rabies, the office confirmed from Benson County Sheriff.

The lady and her family reportedly found Rocky on the side of a road. He reportedly tested negative for rabies at the time.

According to North Dakota Board of Animal Health law, it is illegal to keep a raccoon as a pet.

Ms. Christensen faces up to two years in prison and a fine of 7,500 US dollars (10,179.56 Canadian dollars).
