The season ended a few days ago for ASBH, eliminated in the semi-final of Pro D2 against Vannes (27-21). But the future is already being prepared in Béziers.
Even on vacation, small business continues. The ASBH has been on standby since the defeat in Vannes (27-21), in the semi-final of Pro D2, but the machine is still running. "I’have already can't wait to meet the guys", whispered Pierre Caillet in Brittany.
The Béziers manager will discover new ones from next summer. To launch the 2024/2025 season, he can already count on the announced recruits: Christian Judge (pillar, Saracens), Cam Dodson (second row, Aurillac), Baptiste Abescat-Leroy (third row, Narbonne), Aminiasi Tuimaba (winger, Pau), Hugo Camacho (fullback, Bayonne) and Clément Doumenc (third row, Montpellier).
Gontineac, Manchia…
According to our information, other players are about to sign. Starting with Rouen center, Taylor Gontineac. French by origin but Romanian international (11 caps), the 23-year-old played in the World Cup in France last fall and played fifty matches with the Normandy club since his professional debut in 2021.
Arthur Esppeut (21 years old), currently at Racing 92, is in talks with ASBH. Maxime's brother would thus find his training club. Carcassonne's second line, the experienced Romain Manchia (32 years old), could also strengthen the Hérault pack next season.
Finally, as announced by the club, center or winger Watisoni Votu, 39, extends the pleasure for a season. The Fijian is linked with Béziers until 2025.
Arrival of a three-quarters coach
If the Béziers squad will move, the staff will also discover new faces. David Irazoqui, coach of Saint-Jean- de-Luz in Nationale 2, should take charge of three-quarters next season. Karne Kaufana would go number 2. The latter, as well as Sylvain Charlet (scrum boss), will see their prerogatives s&rsquo ;to broaden. These two are going to get closer to the ASBH training center.
Cyril Bonnafous, responsible for kicking, line defense and camp outings, will leave the club.
