Not necessarily satisfied with the content of this meeting of the 30th day of Pro D2, Pierre Caillet, the manager of the ASBH still retains this 2023-2024 exercise, finished in third place, before starting the final phase, Friday May 24, at the Raoul-Barrière stadium (9 p.m.), against Brive (6th).

Pierre Caillet, manager of ASBH: "We had our heads turned a bit towards the final stages, with certain constraints this evening. Obviously, we are frustrated, because we are competitors and we did not want to have such a gap in points. But we gave a lot this season. We knew there was a good group with quality this season. A group that has been built for three years and we at least had the ambition to qualify.

We worked a lot and there were some great things. We even hoped for a little more at one point. But we are very happy with this 3rd place. We wanted to write a line in our history and win in the play-offs. We are going to achieve something that has never been done in the history of the club. We have nothing left to lose.
"As fresh as possible"
We will inevitably have a little pressure against Brive. But it will be less, because we are going to play a team which has three times our budget and which was a candidate for promotion to the Top 14. We are going to play as if there was no tomorrow. What is important in a club are also these human stories and we all want to achieve this victory. We will need to approach this dam as coolly as possible."
