Astronomers have discovered in space unusual “transparent” galaxy, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to etcetera.media.
The unique size of the space object NGC1052-DF2 is comparable with the size of the milky Way. Galaxy looks as if it lacks dark matter, which, according to scientists, is most of the mass of the Universe.
If this is confirmed, this galaxy may be the first of its kind, consisting only of baryonic (visible) matter.
For astronomers, the discovery could be a source of unique information about how the world works space.
