Partenaire notamment de France Travail, de la CAF ou de l’Assurance maladie, l’association assure une importante mission de service public et d’accompagnement quotidienne.

Welcome to Apije, or the “facilitator” of public administration. Apije (Association for the integration of youth through the economy) is an association under the 1901 law, whose president is Mikael Quennesson. Founded in 1990 in Montpellier, the association first emerged for the professional integration of young people; hence the J in Apije. It was (still today) about relying on work and employment to find a place and independence in society.

For 38 years, Apije has been widely open to audiences up to 62 years old for the “support” service, or even 98 years old for the digital space. “It becomes a place where very different people with very different demands meet, but the key to entry is always emancipation and autonomy”, explains Romain, an employee of Apije in Sète.

4,500 procedures and 2,700 annual visits

The history of the Sète agency began in the 90s in a small room. By moving to Place Delille in 2020, in its new equipped premises, the agency, formed, obtained the “France Service” label (help with administrative procedures). With its eleven permanent partners (CAF, CPAM, Carsat, MSA, taxes, France Travail, Ministries of the Interior, Justice, Ecological Transition, La Poste, ANAH, etc.), Apije, in its employer aspect, is above all a service that recruits people, made available to companies or individuals, over a very wide range of needs.

“We are an associative structure that manages both a reception of the public in search of information and an economic activity, since we make employees available to our customers that we invoice”, specifies Élodie. With its 4,500 procedures, its 2,700 annual visits, its support actions financed by the communities, Apije is the essential solution to many field issues.

““France Service” means putting public service back at the heart of the human being”, conclude these support enthusiasts. Open days will be held on Friday, October 11 and Tuesday, October 15 from 9 a.m. to noon and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
