At least 107 people were killed on Thursday in India after being struck by lightning during the thunderstorms of the monsoon, a-t-on learned from an official source.
Some 83 people have died in the State of Bihar (east) and 24 others in the state of Uttar Pradesh (north). Dozens of others were injured.
Lightning murderers are quite common in India during the monsoon, which lasts from June to September.
According to Lakshmeshwar Rai, the minister of emergency Situations of the State of Bihar, it is the one of the balance sheets daily the heaviest in recent years.
More than 2300 people have been killed by lightning in India in 2018, according to the official statistics.
