At Lol & Lalala in Anduze, a bingo that does good for a charity

Pour la première fois, le festival humour et musique d’Anduze proposait, pour son dernier jour ce samedi 3 août, un jeu à la fois connu et décalé au profit de la Croix-Rouge locale.

“Two years ago I gave a whole show. Last year, a first part. Now I'm hosting a bingo! You can see the showcasing!” Facing the hundreds of people gathered around the stage set up at the foot of the big plane tree in the Parc des Cordeliers, Aymeric Lompret had to crack a few self-deprecating jokes.

Dressed in a floral shirt (a tribute to Tom Selleck?) just like his neighbor and friend Pierre-Emmanuel Barré, the now mascot of the Anduze humor and music festival co-hosted this Saturday, August 3, one of these games famously popular throughout the world. The actor Bruno Hausler (dressed in a slightly rustic dress) completed the trio of hosts.

Spoons, carafes, waffle iron, plot…

For several hours, the three comedians did the expected work: coming out with numbers to win prizes. In their own way. Between the numbers that get tangled up, the music Jesus is coming back, from the film Life is a long quiet river, and the dares thrown at the audience (who had to shout: “Bardella why not ?” in case of victory), they made people win some trivial prizes at first glance.

Except that the objects presented (carafe, salad servers, waffle iron, construction block, toaster and many others) were all signed by rather media-friendly companions: Alain Chabat, Louise Attaque, Eric Judor, Thomas VDB, Philippe Poutou… The singer Giedré even offered one of her guitars, signed by Julien Doré. Enough to make an unusual souvenir to present at home.

Everything for the Red Cross

The action could join the festival's traditional humorous programming. Without counting, however, its solidarity vocation. The boxes sold to the public thus made it possible to donate 4,500 euros to the Anduze branch of the Red Cross, the beneficiary association of the initiative. Not counting the anonymous donations made on the sidelines.

Enough to move its representative, Annick Pogliani: “It's an unspeakable generosity, we didn't think we would have received so much! Our annual budget is only 10,000 euros. We will be able to buy things that we can't usually buy for people who need them.”

Every day, the Red Cross in Anduze helps 300 adults and 118 children in its area. Apart from the town hall, which provides them with premises with energy costs included, the association receives little funding. With this game, “we will be able to buy fresh fruit and vegetables for the children!”, Annick Pogliani repeated several times. An act that would seem almost trivial, but which seems, for her and her team, to represent a lot.
